Tazeen Nuwari Anwar
Tazeen Nuwari Anwar is a first-year PhD student in Policy Studies at 果酱视频. Her research interests include migration, citizenship, belonging, integration policy, and the relationship between migrants and receiving communities. Her interest in migration is deeply personal: after her family was forced to return from the Middle East due to restrictive policies targeting migrant workers, she became attentive to the human consequences of unequal migration systems.
Tazeen holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London and then completed her Barrister training and Master of Laws at the University of the West of England. Her academic and professional background spans legal education, international labour law, and cross-border research. Before beginning her PhD, she taught law for six years while working as an Associate at a law firm, and then spent three years working at Bangladesh鈥檚 largest start-up as a Legal Manager. These experiences inform her broader commitment to understanding how law, policy, and institutions shape the everyday realities of migrants and the communities they become part of.
