Language and Intercultural Relations
The Language and Intercultural Relations (LIR) program at 果酱视频 invites students to explore the world and its diverse cultures through language study, intercultural communication and experiential learning. Students choose between three streams: French, Spanish and Speech Science.
Speech Science brings together studies in language acquisition, biology and psychology and will interest students wishing to pursue further qualifications in speech pathology, audiology, communication disorders and rehabilitative medicine. The French and Spanish streams emphasize language proficiency and are highly relevant for students interested in cognition and language, translation or applied linguistics.

- LIR 100 Global Models in Intercultural Relations
- SSH 205 Academic Writing and Research
- SSH 105 Critical Thinking
- 1 course from Table II from your chosen stream (French, Spanish, or Speech Science)
- 4 course from Table I exploring topics in the Humanities and Social Sciences alongside other Bachelor of Arts students
- 2 Open Electives provide students with the opportunity to choose courses outside their core program and to complete courses towards a minor

Transfers within the Faculty of Arts
To transfer to Language and Intercultural Relations, students must have clear Academic Standing at the end of their second semester of studies and have successfully completed LIR 100. Students should also consider completing a language course in first year. Applications are available through your Arts program advisor and must be submitted by February 2nd of your first year.
