Dr. Darius Rackus
DepartmentDepartment of Chemistry and Biology, ¹û½´ÊÓƵ
Rackus leads the Miniaturization in Bioanalysis Laboratory, at ¹û½´ÊÓƵ. His research focuses on the development of microscale analytical systems for human health by integrating electrochemical sensors with microfluidic platforms. Prior to joining ¹û½´ÊÓƵ, he completed his PhD from the University of Toronto where he focused on the advancement of digital microfluidic platforms for point-of-care applications. After a short postdoc in the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto, Rackus conducted postdoctoral work at ETH Zurich as a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow, where he developed microfluidic platforms to study bacterial responses to antibiotics.
