Changemakers Fund
The continued expansion of the Changemakers program into 2031 is made possible through the generous support of an anonymous donor, building on the strong foundation established through previous support from Scotiabank. Together, these investments have expanded opportunities for students and community organizations to create a meaningful impact.
The Changemakers Fund provides financial support for Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM) students completing co-op placements with eligible not-for-profit organizations and charities registered with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). By reimbursing up to 70% of student salary costs for up to 50 placements annually, the fund removes structural barriers for both community organizations and students pursuing impact-driven careers. This collaborative model helps organizations build their operational capacity while providing students with invaluable, real-world experience applying business skills to community challenges.
Through Changemakers, students can complete co-op work terms with not-for-profit and charitable organizations鈥攁 sector that is often underrepresented as a career path for young professionals. These experiences provide students with valuable exposure to mission-driven work, allowing them to apply their skills to initiatives that create meaningful community impact while developing as future leaders.
Beyond the co-op work term, Ted Rogers School students will go on to work with, support, or serve registered charitable organizations throughout their careers; this experience equips them with perspectives and skills that will benefit them long after graduation.

Benefits
The Changemakers Fund helps eligible not-for-profit organizations and charities registered with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) access high-quality Ted Rogers School co-op talent by reimbursing up to 70% of the employer partner's co-op work term costs. Placements may range from four (4) to eight (8) months and can be used to pay undergraduate co-op students or MBA interns.
By participating in the program, organizations gain access to talented students with expertise across a range of business disciplines, including project management, finance, marketing, human resources, business technology, entrepreneurship and social enterprise. Students bring fresh perspectives while helping organizations address capacity gaps, advance strategic initiatives and contribute to projects that may otherwise be difficult to resource. The program enables organizations to align skilled student talent with evolving organizational needs while preparing the next generation of business leaders for impact-driven careers.
Eligibility
Eligible organizations may receive reimbursement of up to 70% of a student's co-op work term costs, making it more affordable to bring talented students onto their teams while providing impactful learning experiences.
To qualify for the Changemakers Fund, organizations must satisfy the following criteria:
- Be a registered not-for-profit organization or charity registered with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)
- Employ a minimum of five full-time staff and demonstrate at least four years of organizational activity.
- Meet all eligibility requirements of the Ted Rogers Co-op Program.

- Hiring documentation (offer letter or contract)
- Complete a student evaluation at the end of the term
