The Allan Slaight Radio Institute at The Creative School has received an additional $1 million gift from The Slaight Family Foundation, strengthening its role as a space for hands-on learning, creativity, and innovation in audio and broadcast media. The funding will support new and ongoing initiatives that give students access to industry mentorship, live production experience, and leading-edge technology 鈥� expanding opportunities for emerging storytellers to develop their voices and careers.

The investment will sustain the Allan Slaight Entrance Awards, which help students pursue their creative and professional goals, and will continue the Broadcaster-in-Residence program, connecting students with industry leaders and alumni. It will also enhance staffing with a new event coordinator role, establish a fund dedicated to student-led productions, and provide resources for essential technology upgrades and maintenance across the Allan Slaight Radio Institute.
